Dover to Dunkerque
The Dover to Dunkerque route is operated by DFDS and their three identical ferries, all of which were purpose built for the route they serve.
The crossing is particularly convenient if you are travelling to the Benelux countries and are looking for a fast and convenient service as the journey time is only around two hours.
Ferries from Portsmouth
Portsmouth is very accessible for those using public transport or driving to the port. If travelling by the later, the port benefits from having a large multi-storey car park onsite; my blogs give details.
More akin to a small regional airport, the ferry terminal offers check-in desks for the ferry operators, small kiosk selling confectionary and a coffee shop.
From Portsmouth one is able to travel by ferry to:
Caen (Ouistreham) France
Le Havre, France
Cherbourg, France
St.Malo, France
Jersey/Guernsey (Channel Islands)
Portsmouth to Caen
Portsmouth to Cherbourg
Poole to Cherbourg
Plymouth - Roscoff
The UK's most westerly ferry route to France operates from Plymouth within the county of Devon.
From this waterfront city one can travel to Roscoff within the Brittany region of France
