Formerly Queen of Scandinavia of Scandinavian Seaways; a beast of a ship which arguably lacks any good looks externally. Inside she is a lovely ship with a two tier lounge/bar/restaurant with twin spiral staircases, piano, dark wood and polished brass fixtures and fittings, Tiffany lights and huge two level forward window overlooking the bow.
She also boasts a lovely atrium with multi level water feature, outside deck bar and large shopping complex. Presently deployed on the six hour Olbia to Civitavecchia route she also has a vast number of cabins, perhaps too many for a journey of this length.
Moby Dada is a great ship and I thoroughly enjoyed my time on her however, she is not suited for a journey of this length nor location. She has far too much cabin accommodation and relatively small amount of exterior deck space, though the areas which were available were very good, particularly the areas overlooking the bow on the port and starboard sides below the bridge wings. There is a limited amount of sun loungers which is strange for a vessel operating in the Mediterranean.
Amid ships on the exterior deck is a massive gantry just forward of the funnel. It is vast, unsightly and takes up considerable amount of passenger space. It is understood this gantry is used for loading ships' stores whilst in port.
A great ship with good facilities but she would be better deployed on a longhaul Scandinavian route, which is where she was originally intended when built.
